The Brittany is an excellent breed and makes a wonderful companion. They are a medium sized dog weighing about 30-40 lbs. They are very loving and obedient. They enjoy pleasing their human families in many ways, including: performing in the field, show, obedience, and agility arenas. They enjoy playing games such as fetch, frisbee, and tug-of-war. They love snuggling on the couch or bed and get along well with other family pets. They aren't for every family however and you should be sure you can care and provide for one if you are considering one to be a member of your family. They are a sporting dog and as such need daily exercise, a fenced yard works well. They are also very social and need to have time with their human's. If bored by lack of attention or exercise they can become diggers or chewers. They live an average of 12-15 years and you should be prepared to care for one it's entire life if you are considering one as a pet. As you can see caring for a Brittany has many rewards and many responsibilities.
